Bhagsu Waterfall, situated close to Bhagsunath Temple, is one of the beautiful streams in the destination. The waterfall has a cascade of 30 ft during monsoons. Decorated with slate graffiti, the mountain side of the fall is among the highlights of the tourist spot.
Freshwater spring at the base of Dhauladhar range is considered holy. The water of the fall flows through the temple of Bhagsunath into the pools where devotees take a holy dip to get rid of their miseries. Bhagsu Waterfall is connected with Bhagsu Temple with a boulevard.
The height of this waterfall is approximately 20 meters and it is an absolute marvel to look at, especially during the monsoon. There is a nice cafeteria next to the fall for tourists to indulge in lip-smacking snacks and drinks that are served with warmth. The Bhagsunag Fall has located only 2 km from Mcleoganj and can be best visited while on a trek.
Best Time To Visit
The summers are the best time to visit this high-altitude region. The months from June to September are quite apt due to the pleasant and mild climate. The rainy months of July and August are best to be avoided due to the heavy rainfall which can result around in the region while the winter months are extremely cold due to its geographical location. Paying a visit to the temple and the waterfalls in the morning is perfect for a good trip.
