Dona Paula was once just a sleepy seaside village but is today one of the foremost tourist attractions in Goa. Dona Paula Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Goa and offers a marvelous view of the Mormugao harbor. A jetty, replete with stalls, vendors, and cafes can also be found here. At the head of the jetty, you can find Menino’s, which specializes in Goan delicacy. The beach also offers excellent opportunities for water sports, besides providing magnificent views of the sunset. Dona Paula is a small beach located about 5 km. from Panaji. The beach has a jetty adjacent to it which is famous for the view that it offers of the Arabian sea. There are plenty of water sports activities that take place here. The jetty is frequented by young tourists and local students from the nearby goa university and other nearby colleges in Panaji. The road to the jetty is lined with shops selling clothes and souvenirs. The beach offers a great view of the Marmagoa port at Vasco that is located across the mouth of the Zuari river.
Dona Paula Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Goa, can be visited throughout the year. However, the best time to visit the place is from October to March.
