Guru ka Tal is a gurudwara dedicated to the ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. This gurudwara was built at the site where Guru Tegh Bahadur laid down his arms and surrendered to Aurangzeb, the Mughal Emperor. Built in 1610, this gurudwara featured twelve towers in the Tal, out of which only eight towers have survived. A building of historical significance, Guru Ka Tal in Agra is a Sikh pilgrimage site dedicated to the Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. It is a gurudwara and a reservoir built near Sikandra to commemorate the time and life of the Sikh Guru, who surrendered to Aurangzeb, the Mughal Emperor at this very spot.Guru Ka Taal is a holy place of worship for the Sikh. The four Sikh gurus of the 10 Sikh gurus are said to have paid it a visit. Every year thousands of devotees gather here to pay homage to the great Sikh guru.
