Mughal Garden is one of the most significant historical gardens in Delhi. And Mughal Garden is located inside the Rashtrapati Bhawan Complex. Mughal Garden is famous for the wide variety of flowers, some of which are rare and extinct. Mughal Garden has 4 waterways with a lotus-shaped red sandstone made fountain at their intersection. The whole Mughal Garden is a place of scenic beauty. But you cannot take off your eyes away from its lush greenery. Moreover, the colorful flowers add up to the pleasure of your eyes. Mughal Garden in Delhi is spread over an area of 13 acres and is a combination of the former Mughal style with that of the British style. Mughal Garden is designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for Lady Harding. Mughal Garden is a British garden inspired by the Mughal style and that is why you can come across some Mughal style canals, fountains, and terraces. Mughal Garden is divided into 3 sections - rectangular, long and circular gardens also known as Pearl garden, Butterfly garden and Circular garden.
Located inside the Rashtrapati Bhawan compound. It is open for the public during February and March only.

Interesting facts about Mughal Gardens
Former President APJ Abdul Kalam once gave a sapling of Bhrahmi (Bacopa monnnieri) to all the visitors of the garden to promote knowledge of medicinal plants in the country.
The lawns are covered by 'Doob' grass which was originally brought from Belvedere Estate, and Calcutta when they were initially laid.
Around the circular garden there are rooms for the office of the horticulturist, a green house, stores, and nursery etc. Here is housed the collection of Bonsais, one of the best in the country.
Mughal garden has more than 250 known and exotic varieties of roses, which makes it one of the best and beautiful Rose Gardens in the world. It has roses including Bonne Nuit, Oklahoma which is almost black in color. There are blue varieties like Paradise, Blue Moon, Lady X. One of the unique colors like green roses is also present in this spectacular garden. The Roses have some very intriguing names.
The Mughal Gardens are located behind the Rashtrapati Bhavan. They are the best examples of both Mughal and English landscaping styles. They also have a great variety of flowers which attract visitors. The Rashtrapati Bhavan gardens are open to the public during Udyanotsav which happens in February every year.
