The Navagraha Temple, or the temple of the nine space body, is located on a hill name Chitrachal in the south eastern part of the city of Guwahati. It is also recognized as the abode of one of the most significant celestial body, the sun. History of Navagraha Temple:-

Navagraha Temple was built in 1752 AD through the Asom King Rajesvar Singha. The temple brave a major earthquake however, it lost the shikhara style dome in the calamity. The dome was later rebuilt with corrugated iron sheets. But the Garbgriha or the inside sanctum still is conserved from the creative monument.
